I absolutely LOVED this book (are you shocked? I mean, it IS a Harms book!). Dylan is a swoon-worthy book boyfriend and Payton is a strong and admirable heroine! A book couple made in bookish heaven! It's not often I love both the hero AND heroine! I find that most times, one of the main characters has a quality that bugs me. Not the case here!
Payton had suffered SO much! My heart ACHED for her. I hated her mom for being selfish and don't even get me started on her piece of shit "father"! I'm so glad she had Casey and her family (loved Casey's mom!). No child should ever go through what Payton had lived through for YEARS. Sadly though, physical abuse is a reality now days that is seen too often, and I feel like Harms developed this subject well throughout the plot. Beautifully written!
Another huge plus for me was Dylan. I loved how much he loved Payton, protected and defended her. Did I mention he was completely SWOON-WORTHY? Yeah. He had his flaws, don't get me wring, but I loved how that created a bit of angst during the beginning. He definitely needed a wake-up call!
Overall, CLASH is a MUST READ and a book I highly recommend! It certainly pulled at my heart and made me FEEL. CA Harms has a way with words that always captivate me from start to finish. Truly phenomenal!! FIVE AMAZING STARS!
