Almost.

Then she was torn away from her new family, her old life, and thrown into a world of guns, knifes, criminals, and where every mistake could get her killed. She was needed for what seems like an easy in-then-out mission.

That was until she got caught.

Sara then had to form an uneasy alliance with a cartel member to escape, which reveals her family’s car crash wasn’t an accident after all.

Is her new life worth more to her than revenge?

Or will she die trying to figure out why her family was targeted?

CIRA agent Jackson Reeves won’t be denied his revenge…

He’s hunted down and killed the men responsible for his family’s fatal “accident”—all except the mastermind, Ash Crest. The problem is someone beat him to it, and Jackson won’t rest until he finds out who, and why. His search is complicated, because he’s several years into an undercover operation to take down the Cardoza Cartel and can’t risk blowing his cover.

Jackson’s sister Danielle is in danger from the very organization he has to pretend to support…

Camden Cardoza intends to take over the Cartel from his father, but to do so he needs a wife, and he has his sights on Danielle. Jackson knows he has to bring down the Cardozas before they claim his sister.

CIRA sends in more agents, including the beautiful and mysterious Night Stripe, whose task is to befriend Danielle and infiltrate the Cartel. Jackson struggles to find a way to communicate without giving both of them away…and falls for her in the process.

Jackson and Night Stripe walk the thin line between their mutual attraction, conflicting missions, and the danger of discovery, as Jackson’s objectives threaten to overwhelm him, putting those he loves in danger.

Can Jackson defeat the Cartel, save his sister, find Ash Crest’s killer, and complete his revenge—without losing his heart, mind, or life in the process?

LEFT FOR DEAD - BOOK THREE
- SYNOPSIS -
Katya Petrov is supposed to be dead…

When Ash Crest can’t finish the job, Katya is targeted by her own father, Volodya Petrov. He decides to take matters into his own hands by killing Katya himself.

He never expected Night Stripe to interfere.

When Night Stripe killed Ash and shredded the files from his office, she hoped his hit list would die with him and the survivors would be able to live without fear.

She was wrong.

Renegade had been undercover with the Russian mafia. It was a dark, dangerous, and deadly mission, especially for those unfortunate enough to be in his way. Disbanding the Cardoza mafia took time. But now, with Renegade’s cover blown and other CIRA agents under protection, it’s only a matter of time before Night Stripe is exposed.

Leaving one man alive was his only mistake.

The goal is to remove Volodya from power and save Katya, but Night Stripe didn’t plan on going back to save her teammate—and being captured in the process.

She’s alone, trapped, and fighting to survive. Can Night Stripe save herself, protect Katya, and finish the mission she started so many years ago? Or will she be left for dead?

Where can I even begin? I’m finding it incredibly difficult to try and put into words just how much I truly enjoyed this book. I, without an ounce of a doubt, LOVED it. That’s for sure. Savannah Blevins managed to hook me right off the bat, from the very first page. I did not want to stop reading. I needed to see where the story would go. I was beyond intrigued. I had theories forming in my head and questions I craved the answers to.

When Willa came to Frog Hollow, the last thing she expected was what she discovered. The truth about her mother. The truth about her family. The truth about her. Boy, was she in for one heck of a ride! The Innocent vs. the Haunted. Stories, enemies, threats, deaths… Willa’s story is quite the page-turner, let me tell you!

Her family was AMAZING. I loved – loved – how close they all were and how well they got along. The dialogue and interactions between Willa and all the characters were natural and flawless. I felt a connection to all of them and felt as if I was a part of their group too! I honestly loved all the characters and was fully invested in ALL of their stories.

Reid and Julien. Oh, my word. I was in love with BOTH. Yes. This book is a bit of a love triangle and at times I found myself getting frustrated with Willa because she would give into BOTH of them. But then, I would take a moment and realize that if I had been in her shoes, I would’ve acted the same, exact way…if not worse. I loved them both just as much as she did! Like I mentioned above, I was invested in all of their stories. I understood Reid’s frustrations, as well as Julien’s. And the fact that they BOTH had secrets….? Well, THAT just had me feeling like I was at the edge of my seat, nervous to discover what they were hiding – especially Julien.

The ending was PHENOMENAL and everything I hoped for. One of my theories actually turned out to be right!! I was SUPER excited about that one! The events leading up to that ending, though, shattered my heart. As in, I was crying while reading and that hasn’t happened in a long time!! I cannot wait to see where Ms. Blevins takes us next with this series!

If you’re a fan of Fantasy and/or Paranormal Romances, you MUST grab your copy of Frog Hollow by Savannah Blevins. You won’t be sorry! FIVE brilliant stars!

But it was his eyes that captivated me the most. They were a medium grey, with dark rims and even darker flecks throughout them. At first they seemed flat, but as I stared into them they began to sparkle, making them look more like silver and luring me to get lost in their depths. I finally blinked. As beautiful as his irises were, I noticed purplish shadows beneath his dark lashes. My mind immediately started wondering what could have caused this beautiful man’s weariness – a bad workday? A lover’s rejection? A family tragedy? I couldn’t explain it since I didn’t even know him, but something inside me wanted to reach out and soothe away his stress.

However, whatever was going on with him had been temporarily cast aside, and his spectacular eyes were now glittering with a mixture of kindness, curiosity, and contained laughter, as if he knew I had been checking him out.

I took a breath to compose myself. “Thank you for catching me. That might have ended badly otherwise.” I began to push against him as leverage to stand up, but he grabbed hold of my wrist and stayed my hand.

“I’m afraid I’m going to have to ask you not to push too hard there.” His deep voice was gentle, yet commanding at the same time.

I looked questioningly into those mesmerizing eyes and saw them gleaming back at me with something other than laughter as they glanced down at my hand. I wasn’t sure what he meant until I noticed where my other hand had landed when it had automatically reached out to steady myself. Unknown to me, but to the complete awareness of my savior, my hand had landed on his crotch, and what was soft was growing noticeably harder beneath the zipper of his jeans.

Oh! Immediately, I jerked my hand away in mortification and covered my mouth. “I..I’m so, so sorry!” I mumbled from behind my hand. Even in the dimness of the bar lighting, I’m sure my face glowed like a stoplight. “I should be going now. Thank you for saving me.” I carefully struggled off his lap without touching any more of him than necessary.

“Trust me, it was my pleasure,” he grinned mischievously.

BOOK 2 - TRUE NORTH

Alex and Kayla are determined not to let these twists and turns destroy their happiness. But is love enough? What happens when lies, uncertainty, and deception entangle with their plans? Will determination be enough when faced with disaster?

- EXCERPT -
“Alex,” I whispered through the thrills that were enveloping my entire body. “I need you!”

He pulled back from me and lifted his head. His eyes, shining like mercury, stared into mine. “I always need you, Mikayla,” he answered, his voice thick with passion. He fanned his hands across my stomach and slowly slid them around to my back. I closed my eyes as the movement of his warm hands against my flesh caused me to break out into more goose bumps.

Suddenly, his movement stopped. I felt his body tense underneath mine and his fingers flex slightly. I opened my eyes to witness him staring at the large greenish-black and yellow patches still visible on my side. I could see the vein in his neck pulse, and while I wanted to believe it was a reaction to the intense moments we had just shared, I knew it wasn’t. At least not anymore.

I gripped the sides of his head. “Alex, they’re just bruises.” I pushed on his chin slightly to get him to look at me. The anguish I saw in his eyes was almost my undoing. While my head celebrated that he loved me so much, my heart ached for his fears. “Bruises will fade, Alex, but what we have never will. It only grows stronger, even through times like this. We never know how much time we have together, and we can’t go around trying to put a timer or a security lock on it. All we can do is love each other completely with the time we’re given.”

He stared at me intently, his breathing growing more rapid as a tear rolled down his cheek. Moisture gathered in my own eyes. “I’m here, Alex,” I spoke urgently. “I will never willingly leave you. Even when I couldn’t physically answer you, I heard you. I heard you calling to me, and I focused on your voice as the lifeline to bring me back to you. I am. Here. With. You.” I punctuated each word with a kiss.

I could feel the moment he gave in, the moment he trusted I was truly here. His hands gripped my head and he slammed his mouth down on top of mine, taking more than giving, like a man deprived of air who was suddenly offered oxygen. It was consuming, demanding – life seeking. His tongue slipped into my mouth, touching, tasting -- healing.

BOOK 3 - STARLIGHT WISHES
- SYNOPSIS -
Her wishes dissolved in the darkness…

Jennifer Mitchell grew up knowing what she wanted out of life, and she didn’t let anyone dissuade her. But not all wishes come true. After years of blaming herself for a horrifying experience, she feels her dreams are forever shattered. Many have failed, but now the one person she has sworn to ignore has dared her to dream again and won’t take ‘no’ for an answer. Can she trust him? Will this choice be the final piece to her heart, or will it be the one who shatter her life into total disrepair?

His wishes struggled to find light…

Tyler Cranston’s life was planned for him at an early age. He lived his life to please others, only to have everything go tragically wrong. Now as an adult he chooses his own path, living and playing hard and earning a playboy reputation along the way. But being carefree isn’t as ‘freeing’ as he thought it would be, and he longs for something more. Now once again he’s willing to do anything to make someone else happy, but she believes she’s happier without him. How can he prove he is worth the risk when he isn’t even sure himself?

Through tears and whispered wishes in the dark, can Jennifer and Tyler become the light for each other and turn their ordeals of the past into dreams for a future?

- EXCERPT -
If I could smack myself with any real results, I would. What the hell had been wrong with me last night? Every guardrail, every rule I’d put into place to protect myself from just such an event had been tossed aside, betrayed by my stupid desires. I’d let him, begged him even, to make love to me. Make love? No, that was more my style. For him, I’m sure it was sex, plain and simple. Well, maybe not plain and simple, more like spectacular and mind-blowing, at least for me. Regardless, how could I have allowed such a thing to happen? Had I drunk that much? You wish you could use that as an excuse, but you knew exactly what you were doing. You’re a first class idiot, Jennifer Marie! Now you’re just one more notch on his bedpost.

Feeling suffocated by my thoughts, I shoved my feet into my canvas slip-ons. I turned to the nightstand and stretched out my hand to grab my cell phone. I stopped when I saw the bottle of pain reliever and two of its contents beside the glass of water he’d set out for me the night before. Why did he have to be so damn thoughtful? And who would have imagined the innocent quest for those little white tablets would bring about more havoc than what they were designed to cure? I tried to stifle the memories they conjured, picked up my phone and tip-toed out of the bedroom.

In the kitchen I found some paper and scribbled out an excuse, a lie actually, and left it where I hoped he might find it. I found my purse and quietly opened the door of the apartment. A next door neighbor with a newspaper tucked under one arm and a cup of coffee in his hand was just opening his door. He paused when he saw me, a knowing grin on his face. He winked at me, confirming that I hadn’t been able to completely muffle the cries of pleasure that had burst past my lips last night. Scowling at him, I hurried down the hall, anxious to put some distance between the man in bed and me so I could figure out how to fix this. Fix? The little hammers in my head ramped up their tapping to full blown pounding as if suggesting this would be no ordinary fix, but full-blown reconstruction time.

I knew I was taking the coward’s way out this morning, but I was doing both of us a favor. In the end, he’d be grateful I’d let him off the hook. Massaging my temples as I rode the elevator down to the lobby, I continued to convince myself it was better this way. Reaching the front door, I closed my eyes and shook my head in disgust. I had always promised myself I would never do the walk of shame, and yet here I was, stealing away in the early hours of the morning. And even then I couldn’t do it right. I mean, whoever heard of anyone sneaking out of their own home after a night of the most mind-blowing sex they had ever had?

It’s pitch dark. Nothing but streetlamps light our march down the sidewalk. I constantly stumble to keep up with Reid’s long strides. It’s not because I’m staring at his ass in those jeans.

Definitely not that.

He pulls me down an alleyway that is lit only by the dim lamps hanging over the doorways. “My car is that way,” I say, pointing in the opposite direction.

“I’ll get it later.” He pushes forward down the alley, never bothering to look back.

We come out on another street where he stands looking up and down the block before motioning for me to follow him across the road. I still look twice each way even though the street is deserted. He waits next to a double-cab, gray truck. He flings the passenger side door open and pushes me inside.

“Where are we going?”

He ignores me, slamming the door in my face. Once he’s in the driver’s seat, I shoot him a dirty look. “Where are we going?” I ask again, this time hissing out the words.

“I thought maybe we’d go to your house, let you hit me over the head again.” He glares over at me, gesturing toward his wound. “You know, to even it out, because I think it looks pretty stupid lopsided like this.”

“Smartass.” I throw myself back into the seat and cross my arms as he backs out of the parking space. “No wonder you’re single.”

He stops momentarily in the middle of the street with his hand on the gearshift, waiting to push it into drive. “What?”

“I said you’re such a charmer.”

He scowls at me. His pissed off face is growing on me. I grin back. With one swift jerk of his hand, the truck is in gear and we zoom down the back street. I fumble to find my seat belt. My hands tremble as I click it into place.

We are already on the road leading out of town when I look back out the window, watching the lights from downtown fade out of sight. His eyes fixated on the road, his fingers running along the side of the steering wheel like he’s in a hurry.

“Where are we going?” I ask, this time in a whisper, avoiding eye contact.

I know it’s silly, because we just left a room full of witnesses, but I can’t stop picturing myself being thrown into a swamp full of snapping alligators like I’m Indiana Jones on my last crusade.

“You wanted this.” Attention straight on the road, he refuses to look at me. “So, we’ve got some things to straighten out.”

It’s vague, but at least it’s an answer. However, I doubt he’d actually tell me if he planned to feed me to alligators.

That would probably be counterproductive to his mission.

I lean back in my seat and breathe, assuring myself that just because he wants me to leave town doesn’t mean he wants me dead. I become slightly less panicked when we pull into the driveway leading down to my house. The sound of the gravel is noisy as we skid into place just behind the trailer. He jumps out of the truck before I even notice that he cut off the ignition. I scurry out, following him up the walk. He fumbles with his key in the lock.

“Hey!” I peek over his shoulder and scowl. “You’ve got to stop doing that.”
“Why?” He glares back, pushing the door open. “You’ve got a flashlight in your purse?”

I stomp in behind him. “You can’t just come in anytime you feel like it. I appreciate you taking care of the house, but it’s mine now.”

He stops in the middle of the room, and I stumble into his back. He turns around slowly, looking down at me. The house is dark; only the light of the moon shines through the windows highlighting his face. He’s close. He could touch me if he wanted. It would make sense. His palm under my elbow, or his fingers against my waist.

Except he doesn’t.

“Fiona gave me this key when I was ten years old,” he whispers in the small space between us. “Everyone in our family has a key to this house.”

I want to snap back at him, but I don’t know if I’m actually mad about the key or something else. I take a step back, and this time I look away. “I don’t know how families work.”

I shouldn’t be embarrassed. I’ve been an orphan for the better part of my life. I still can’t look him in the eye.

“There is a blue cookie jar on the top shelf of your cabinet,” he says, pointing behind me.
I follow his finger to the kitchen cabinets and then turn back to him. “Go look in it.”

I walk by him, dodging boxes along the way until I open the cabinet doors. In the very last one I see a chipped, blue jar stuck in the back corner. I climb up on the counter to reach it. I grab it, sitting down so I can hold it more securely. I glance at Reid, standing at the counter’s edge watching me, before I stick my hand inside. My fingers hit metal, and I can tell by the jingling sound it makes that the jar is full of keys. “Mine is the one with the giant R painted on it,” he says, crossing his arms. “Feel free to break in anytime.”

I clamp the lid shut. “You don’t mean that.”

He shrugs. “You’re right, I don’t. But I’m keeping my key.”
